Our Ethos

+ ARCHITECTS
+ EDUCATORS
+ ADVOCATES

Urban Fabric Architects offer a highly collaborative, imaginative, thoughtful approach to the design of place.  Expertise includes voluntary sector, arts, educational and play projects, creative re-uses, and work for many charities and third sector organisations.

Partners Alison Davies and Richard Woods bring considerable combined experience of creative practice, spanning 25+ years of award-winning built projects, design review expertise, public speaking advocacy, and community involvement.  They also run the award-winning undergraduate studio unit 5A at the University of Nottingham, and practice work is underpinned by teaching and creative research.

Reference

“Through different phases of refurbishment and creative re-use, working with Urban Fabric has been a pleasure.  They have stretched us to think creatively, been respectful to our particular needs as a client, and worked very effectively within budget constraints to deliver inspiring spaces for our students to work and learn and socialise.  We look forward to more creative collaboration in the future.”
